Operations Director – Clinical Direct Ltd
Steve Murray is a state-registered UK Paramedic with over 30 years of frontline clinical experience and a strong background in medical logistics, compliance, clinical training, and functional health.
As Operations Director at Clinical Direct Ltd, Steve—together with co-founder James and the team—oversees the company’s ISO certifications, MHRA and UK Home Office licences, as well as its end-to-end operations, ensuring the highest standards of regulatory compliance, product quality, and customer service.
Under their joint leadership, Clinical Direct has grown into one of the UK’s most trusted pharmacy wholesalers, supplying medicines, emergency equipment, and clinical consumables to dental, medical, and offshore sectors worldwide.
Drawing on his extensive experience in emergency care and healthcare education, Steve ensures that every aspect of Clinical Direct’s service, from procurement to delivery, meets the rigorous standards expected by healthcare professionals. He remains deeply committed to continuous improvement and the integration of innovative technologies that enhance efficiency, traceability, and client experience across all operational areas.
James Allan
Director & Clinical Lead, Clinical Direct Ltd
I’m James Allan, Director and Clinical Lead at Clinical Direct Ltd. I’ve been a registered pharmacist for over 35 years and previously owned several pharmacies across Edinburgh. During that time, I became involved in supporting the marine and offshore industries — a field I’ve now been part of for more than 25 years.
In 2020, Steve and I founded Clinical Direct, combining my experience in healthcare and offshore medical supply with his background as a paramedic and trainer. Together, we’ve built a company that’s proud to be recognised as one of Scotland’s leading providers to the marine and offshore sectors.
My focus is on delivering professional, proactive, and responsive services to our clients. We work closely with some of the industry’s largest operators, who trust us to understand their specialist needs — particularly when it comes to hyperbaric diving operations.
At Clinical Direct, we’re passionate about providing dependable, high-quality support to help our clients operate safely and efficiently, wherever their work takes them.
